CAR Centre

Authorised under one licence, on disciplined terms.

Stone Leaf Capital authorises Corporate Authorised Representatives operating in regulated wholesale markets across Australia. The CAR sits inside the licence holder’s perimeter — same compliance frame, same audit discipline, same wholesale-only client base.

The framework

A Corporate Authorised Representative carries the licence holder’s authority into a defined business activity. Under Stone Leaf Capital, the perimeter is wholesale only. The authorisation is written down, reviewed annually and visible on the ASIC register.

The CAR receives the same compliance plan, the same training obligations and the same breach-reporting cadence as the licence holder. Each appointment carries an annual fitness review, a documented training register, a quarterly compliance meeting and a sign-off cycle that ties back to section 912A of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

We accept CAR appointments only where the proposed business fits inside our authorisations, the responsible managers meet ASIC RG 105 standards and the operating discipline already exists. We do not take on CAR mandates as a regulatory shortcut.

What the CAR gets

The discipline of the licence,
without the standalone build.

  • Authorisation register

ASIC-registered CAR status under AFSL 549617, with the authorisations scoped to the agreed business activity.

  • Compliance plan

Operating compliance plan, breach register and incident-response runbook — same documents the licence holder operates against.

  • Training + CPD

Annual training register, CPD attestation cycle and responsible-manager review against RG 105 standards.

  • Quarterly compliance meeting

Structured meeting cadence covering critical events, policy review, action items and reportable situations under s 912DAA.

  • Trustee and custodian access

Where the CAR runs a wholesale scheme or trust, access to the same trustee arrangements and licensed custodian network the firm uses.

An authorisation is the discipline that comes with it.
